Celebrate 4th of July with Decadent Mocha Brownies Featuring Alex's Low Acid Organic Coffee

by Alex Brecher July 02, 2024

Hey there, fellow coffee enthusiasts and brownie lovers! With the 4th of July just around the corner, it's time to think about what sweet treats you'll be serving at your celebration. Why not give your dessert table a caffeinated kick with these deliciously decadent Mocha Brownies? Made with the exquisite Alex's Low Acid Organic Coffee to enhance the chocolate, these brownies promise a rich and indulgent mocha experience that your taste buds will thank you for.

    Here's What You'll Need:

    • 1 cup unsalted butter
    • 2 cups sugar
    • 4 large eggs
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 1 cup all-purpose flour
    • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
    • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 1/2 cup Alex's Low-Acid Organic Coffee French Roast - brewed strong
    • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

    For That Extra Kick:

Let's Talk Frosting (Optional but highly recommended for the ultimate experience):

    • 1/2 cup butter (room temperature)
    • 2 cups powdered sugar
    • 2 tablespoons Alex's Low-Acid Organic Coffee™ - brewed and cooled
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

    Directions:

    • Preheat Your Independence Oven: To 350°F (175°C), please. Line a 9x13 inch baking dish with parchment paper or give it a quick spray with cooking oil.
    • Melt and Mix: In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Remove from the heat and stir in the sugar, then add the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla.
    • The Dry Stuff: Sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually fold this into the wet mixture until just blended.
    • Coffee Time: Now, the secret weapon - Alex's Low-Acid Organic Coffee. Brew it strong and let it cool, then measure out 1/2 cup and stir it into your batter along with the chocolate chips for that gooey, mocha madness.
    • Bake to Perfection: Pour the batter into your prepared baking dish, spreading evenly. If you're feeling extra, sprinkle the top with coarsely crushed French Roast Whole Beans for added crunch. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick can come out clean-ish (we love a slightly fudgy center).

    Frosting (If You Dare):

While those brownies cool, whip up the frosting. Cream together the butter and powdered sugar, then add the cooled coffee and vanilla. Beat until smooth and fluffy. Slather over the cooled brownies for a luxuriously coffee-infused crown.

    Serving Suggestion:

Cut these heavenly treats into squares, circles, or even star shapes for a patriotic twist and watch as they disappear faster than fireworks in the night sky.

There you have it, folks! Your 4th of July celebration just got a whole lot more delicious with these Mocha Brownies. Whether you choose to go the extra mile with coffee-flavored frosting or the crunch of whole coffee beans, Alex's Low Acid Organic Coffee is here to make sure your dessert game is strong, satisfying, and most importantly, deliciously memorable.

Remember, these aren't just any brownies – they're a celebration in each bite. Enjoy, and happy 4th of July!
