    Easy Frozen Coffee Recipe

    Easy Frozen Coffee Recipe

by Alex Brecher March 29, 2023

Frozen coffee is a delightful treat. With this recipe, you can have it whenever you want it without going to a coffee shop and paying several dollars. This is a simple recipe that you can make with your favorite type of coffee. If you use Alex’s Low-Acid Organic Coffee, your frozen coffee drink can be lower in acid and have a smoother taste.

    Best Coffee for Frozen Coffee

This recipe calls for strongly brewed coffee. Alex’s Low-Acid Organic Coffee is a choice that is gentler on the stomach and has a blend of flavors such as chocolate, vanilla, nutty, and fruity. You can use cold brew coffee or hot brew coffee that has been chilled. Just make it strong so the flavor shines through!

    Other Ingredients in Frozen Coffee

These are the other ingredients in the recipe, and how you might customize them if you like.

    • This recipe calls for frozen whipped topping, but you can use ice cream if that is all you have. Vanilla, coffee, chocolate, and pistachio are all great choices.
    • Vanilla creamer or any favorite flavor will work. If you are concerned about heartburn, you might want to use a non-dairy creamer.
    • You can use 2 to 3 tablespoons of chocolate syrup, or 2 tablespoons of chocolate syrup and 1 tablespoon of another favorite flavor, such as hazelnut or caramel.
    • If you want to serve your frozen coffee with toppings, consider whipped topping, cocoa powder or shaved chocolate, or ground coffee beans.

You can cut calories and sugar by using a sugar-free creamer. sugar-free syrup to flavor it, and sugar-free whipped topping or ice cream.

    When to Have Frozen Coffee

Frozen coffee can be great in the afternoon on a hot day, or you can have it for a late-night treat when you are craving something cold, sweet, and decadent. If you have it at night, you might want to choose a decaffeinated coffee, such as Alex’s Low-Acid Organic Coffee - Decaf, to avoid the risk of caffeine preventing you from sleeping. If you are using it as an afternoon pick-me-up, Regular or Half Caff may be more appropriate.

Frozen coffee is also great to have with a friend. You can double the recipe to make enough for two. Just before serving, ask which toppings they may want and you can each have your dream cup of frozen coffee.
