Do you want coffee but do not have a coffee maker and do not want to choose instant coffee? You are in luck! It is possible to make coffee without a coffee maker, and when you use Alex’s Low-Acid Organic Fresh Ground Coffee, you can have great-tasting coffee that is gentle on the stomach. Here is how to make coffee without a coffee maker.
How to Make Coffee Beverages Without a Coffee Maker
The basic strategy for making coffee without a coffee maker is to let coffee steep briefly in near-boiling water, and then strain it right into the mug. If you have no way to strain your coffee, you can alternatively put a bit of cold water in the hot mixture to try to separate out the brewed coffee from the grinds.
This recipe makes one cup of coffee, but you can double the recipe to make enough for a large coffee beverage, or quadruple the recipe to have enough to share with others. You can use your hot coffee however you would normally use coffee, whether you like it black or with cream or sugar, or whether you want to make iced coffee or something like a latte.
You can alternatively make cold brew coffee without a coffee maker. The drawback is that it takes longer - several hours or overnight - and then you either have cold coffee or you need to heat the coffee when you are ready to serve it. This recipe yields hot coffee in minutes.
