Why low acid
Smooth by design, measured by a lab
Coffee's acidity comes from many compounds. Chlorogenic acids (CGAs) are among the ones that shape the sharp, bitter edge in a cup, and roasting time and temperature decide how much of them is left.
- 1100% organic Arabica. Arabica beans naturally carry lower CGA levels than Robusta.
- 2Convection roasted. Hot air heats each bean evenly from skin to core.
- 3A slower, lower-temperature finish. It reduces CGAs further without over-darkening the beans.
- 4Independent testing. Third-party labs test for pH, chlorogenic acids, pesticides, mycotoxins and heavy metals.
pH, measured by an independent lab
5.4 to 5.7

How much caffeine is in it?
French Roast, Rise & Shine and Espresso are fully caffeinated. Half Caff has about 50 mg of caffeine per serving, roughly half of a standard cup. Decaf is decaffeinated with the Mountain Water Process, which uses water to remove the caffeine.
Description
You should not have to settle for bad coffee, nor should you have to work for it. Alex's Low-Acid Organic Coffee™ French Roast Coffee Steep Bags (Tea Bag Style) are for anyone who wants a real, dark, satisfying cup with less hassle. Keep them at home for fast mornings and easy afternoons, keep a few at the office, and bring them on trips so you always have coffee you actually want to drink. This is a low-acid dark roast that is rich and full-bodied with a smoother finish, in a format that makes coffee simple.
This is not instant. This is not a pod. Each coffee steep bag contains 0.46 oz (13g) of Organic Arabica coffee. That means real grounds and a substantial brew. Tear open the foil packet, place the coffee steep bag in your mug, add hot water, steep, dunk, and you are done. No machine required. No measuring. No mess.
Cupping Notes
A thoughtful blend of Organic Arabica coffees boasting notes of dark chocolate and molasses. Thick and creamy on the palate, finishing with notes of caramelized sugar. Dark, but never burned. Never bitter.
Freshness That Stays Fresh
Most mass-produced coffee is packaged to sit around. Ours is packaged to keep it tasting fresh when you open it. We nitrogen flush and seal each individual packet to help protect freshness and preserve aroma and flavor until the moment you tear it open. That is why these work just as well in your kitchen cabinet as they do in a desk drawer, backpack, or carry-on.
Why People Love the Single-Serve Format
- Real coffee, simplified: 13g of Organic Arabica grounds in every steep bag.
- Consistent cup: no weighing, grinding, or cleanup.
- Easy anywhere: a mug and hot water are all you need.
- Individually sealed: the last one is protected the same way as the first one.
