Recipe for Low-Acid Nutella Iced Coffee

How would your dream cup of coffee be? Would it be nutty? Chocolatey? Sweet? Creamy? Let’s be honest: all of the above would be delightful! This easy recipe combines some of the best flavors and textures in life to give you a satisfying glass of iced coffee. It can give you the same joy as you’d get from a fancy coffee at a coffee shop, but without the price tag. Here’s how to make Low-Acid Nutella Iced Coffee.

Amazing Flavors and Textures

Let’s take a look at what’s in this delicious beverage.

  • Chocolate hazelnut spread. Hazelnut and chocolate are some of the flavors that go best with coffee. They bring out its complexity and intensity. Plus, who can resist using this delicious condiment in as many ways as possible? It doesn’t just have to stay on sandwiches!
  • Low-acid strong brewed coffee. The stronger you brew it, the more flavor you get in the final product.
  • Half-and-half or whipped topping. Add this at the end and your coffee will slowly get creamy as it integrates into your beverage.

One of the best tricks in this recipe is the coffee ice cubes. You can make just a few of them and use them all for this recipe, but we think you’ll have other ideas once you try them. You may decide that they need to be a staple in your freezer because they add so much flavor and character.

One sip of your low-acid nutella iced coffee, and you’ll realize that it’s satisfying and delicious on its own. But if you like, you can top it with a maraschino cherry, some chopped hazelnuts or chocolate sprinkles. You can also serve it with a hard cookie, such as biscotti.
