Iced Irish Coffee Recipe with Low-Acid Coffee
This may be the most well-known alcoholic recipe with coffee. It has cold brew coffee and Irish whiskey, along with sugar to sweeten it.
Makes 1 serving
Ingredients
- 2 ounces of Irish whiskey, such as Tullamore DEW Original
- 3 ounces of Alex’s Low-Acid Organic Coffee, cold brew
- 1 tablespoon of sugar in the raw
- 1 teaspoon of coffee grinds from Alex’s Low-Acid Organic Coffee
- Fresh cream to top
Instructions
- In a bowl, gently combine whiskey and coffee grinds, and set them aside for 15 minutes before straining through a coffee filter into a cocktail shaker.
- In a small bowl, stir together the sugar and cold brew coffee to dissolve the sugar. Add it to the shaker.
- Shake and strain, then pour in a glass and top with cream.

Affogato Martini with Coffee
This recipe is a variation on a regular affogato martini. In addition to ice cream and coffee liqueur, this recipe includes Alex’s Low-Acid Organic Coffee to enhance the flavor. Use decaf coffee if you are having this as an evening dessert and don’t want to stay up extra late.
Warning: this is a strong drink that goes down easily because of the ice cream. It may be best to stick to half of it.

- 2 ounces of vanilla vodka
- ½ ounce of cream de cocoa
- 1 ounce of kahlua
- ¼ to ½ cup of ice cubes made from Alex’s Low-Acid Organic Coffee
- 1 scoop of vanilla ice cream
- Optional: strong brewed Alex’s Low-Acid Organic Coffee to taste
Instructions
- Place the vodka, cream de cocoa, and kahlua in a shaker. Add two ounces of vanilla vodka, half an ounce of creme de cocoa, and one ounce of Kahlúa into a shaker. Add the ice cubes made with Alex’s Low-Acid Organic Coffee. Shake the shaker.
- Pour the mixture into a glass. Add the vanilla ice cream and any additional coffee, as desired.
- Serve and enjoy!
Cold Brew Cabana
This has a variety of flavors and can be a treat for summer nights.
Makes 1 serving
Ingredients
- 1 cup of ice cubes made from Alex’s Low-Acid Organic Coffee
- 1.5 ounces of rum
- ¾ ounce of strong brewed Alex’s Low-Acid Organic Coffee
- ½ ounce of banana-flavored liqueur
- 2 drops of ginger bitters
- Optional: vanilla bean and banana chip or slice of banana for garnish
Instructions
- Add the ingredients except the ice to a shaker. Pour into a glass with ice cubes. Garnish as desired.
