- Alex's Low Acid Organic Coffee™ Decaf Fresh Ground (5lbs) is made from 100% Chiapas beans grown in southern Mexico near the Guatemalan border. These delicate beans offer notes of brown sugar, pear, and toasted nuts for a smooth, naturally sweet cup without caffeine.
- Alex's Low Acid Organic Coffee™ Rise and Shine Fresh Ground (5lbs) is a lively blend of Sumatran and Mexican Chiapas coffees roasted Italian style. It features caramel sweetness with subtle hints of white pepper and vanilla bean, creating a smooth and balanced cup that brightens your morning.
- Alex's Low Acid Organic Coffee™ Half Caff Fresh Ground (5lbs) has about half the caffeine, around 50 milligrams per cup, while keeping the same rich and balanced taste. This earthy blend delivers notes of dark chocolate, plum, and manzanita honey for a full bodied cup any time of day.
Most roasters use drum roasters, where beans come into contact with hot metal, increasing Chlorogenic Acid levels. We do things differently. Our patented convection roasting system uses a bed of hot air instead, so the beans never touch steel. This method ensures an even roast and significantly reduces Chlorogenic Acid, producing a smooth, flavorful coffee that is gentle on your stomach.
If you are skeptical, that is fair. Coffee acidity is a confusing topic. Our roasting method is supported by research from Dr. Taka Shibamoto, Distinguished Professor of Environmental Toxicology and Director of the UC Davis Coffee Center. His studies show that high levels of Chlorogenic Acid contribute to bitterness and stomach irritation in coffee.

We roast all our organic, fair trade beans using our patented hot air convection system. Because the beans never touch hot steel drums, their acid content stays naturally low while the flavor stays rich and balanced.
For best freshness, store your coffee in an opaque glass, metal, or ceramic container and keep it in a cool, dry place. Avoid the fridge or freezer, as coffee can lose moisture and absorb unwanted flavors.
