Why low acid

Smooth by design, measured by a lab

Coffee's acidity comes from many compounds. Chlorogenic acids (CGAs) are among the ones that shape the sharp, bitter edge in a cup, and roasting time and temperature decide how much of them is left.

  1. 1
100% organic Arabica. Arabica beans naturally carry lower CGA levels than Robusta.
  2. 2
Convection roasted. Hot air heats each bean evenly from skin to core.
  3. 3
A slower, lower-temperature finish. It reduces CGAs further without over-darkening the beans.
  4. 4
Independent testing. Third-party labs test for pH, chlorogenic acids, pesticides, mycotoxins and heavy metals.

Ground or whole bean?

Fresh Ground is ready for everyday brewers like drip machines and pour-over. Whole Bean stays fresh longer and lets you grind for any method, including espresso. Not sure? Start with Fresh Ground.

How much caffeine is in it?

French Roast, Rise & Shine and Espresso are fully caffeinated. Half Caff has about 50 mg of caffeine per serving, roughly half of a standard cup. Decaf is decaffeinated with the Mountain Water Process, which uses water to remove the caffeine.

Description

Do you love coffee, but cannot handle the acid? Alex’s Low Acid Organic Coffee™ Caramel Flavored Coffee brings together rich, smooth coffee with subtle notes of buttery caramel for a lightly sweet, comforting finish. This is not overpowering or artificial tasting. Just a smooth, balanced cup with a hint of flavor that makes every sip more enjoyable. Perfect for any time of day when you want something a little extra without compromising how you feel.

Over 30% of coffee drinkers experience upper gastrointestinal discomfort from traditional coffee. This can show up as heartburn, acid reflux, indigestion, sour stomach, or GERD. Many believe pH is the issue, but that is not the full story.

Coffee contains many different acids. Some are beneficial and contribute to flavor, but one in particular, Chlorogenic Acid (CQA 3, 4, and 5), has been closely linked to stomach irritation. This compound naturally occurs in coffee and can increase significantly depending on how the beans are roasted.

Most coffee is roasted in drum roasters. We take a different approach. Using a proprietary convection roasting method, the beans are suspended in a stream of hot air instead of touching hot metal surfaces. This process helps reduce unwanted acids while preserving flavor. The result is a smoother, cleaner coffee that is easier on your stomach and still full of character.

Still unsure? That is fair. Many people who struggle with coffee have tried everything. Alex’s Low Acid Organic Coffee™ has been trusted by customers who report enjoying coffee again without the usual discomfort. Now, with a caramel twist, it offers even more enjoyment in every cup.

Certified organic and carefully crafted, this coffee is made for those who want flavor, comfort, and a better overall coffee experience.
